As a 4th generation rancher in Comfort, TX, Zach Biermann has grown up around ranches and ranching in the Texas Hill Country his entire life. With a long family history in Comfort and Sisterdale, TX ranching is not only a part of Zach’s lifestyle, but in his blood. Dating back to 1867, Zach’s paternal great-great grandfather settled in Comfort on what is now Lindner Feed Milling Company and his maternal great-great grandfather settled on a ranch just outside Sisterdale, TX where his cousins still ranch today.

In 1912, Zach’s great grandfather, Carl W. Biermann, purchased land just outside of Comfort, TX that has since continued to be in the Biermann family for 106 years. Today Zach and his wife, Sarah, live and ranch on that same land raising Registered Hereford Cattle and guiding world class Axis and whitetail deer hunts. While attending Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX Zach continued to gain a passion and appreciation for the Hill Country and the beautiful properties it had to offer. After graduating with his BBA in Marketing in December of 2012, he started two companies to conduct his guided deer hunts and cattle operations on the family ranch.

He then went on to receive his MBA in Ethical Leadership in May of 2015 from Schreiner University. As the owner of Biermann Ranch LLC and Biermann Ranch Cattle Company LLC Zach specializes in deer and game management as well as registered cattle ranching. This has allowed him to maintain extensive knowledge including, but not limited to stocking rates, harvesting rates, feeding schedules, blind and feeder locations, deer and cattle mineral programs, and most importantly ranch selection location. Furthermore, Zach’s established family history of ranching and recognizable passion for the Hill Country has gained him extensive knowledge in landscape including grasses, water, trees, wildlife and what it takes to maintain a ranch in wet and dry conditions. As he puts it, the Hill Country is one of the most diverse areas in Texas for ranching. With so many different styles of properties within such a short range from each other, no property is the same for hunting or raising livestock. Every ranch has different stocking rates, deer and bird hunting, water, grasses, minerals, etc… so selection based upon what each rancher wants to get out of their property is crucial.
